Jehoshaphat was claiming a promise from God
in verse 9
(but going back to Leviticus 26:3,6-8
Deuteronomy 28:1 and 7).
They had obeyed God and not fought against the people whose land they were passing through
during the Exodus but now these people were attacking them!
True to His promise God came through for them.
And He'll do the same for us.
